The official TikTok account of White House has sparked backlash after sharing a video of ICE arrests along with a hit song by Puerto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny. The video sparked massive controversy because it used the artist’s music amid his political feud with President Donald Trump.
White House ‘Making America Great Again’
On Thursday, July 30, as reported by The Irish Star, the White House uploaded a compilation video showing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations. The clip was captioned “We’re making America great again” and featured the 31-year-old singer’s popular track LA MuDANZA.
Many people were left completely confused by the administration’s choice of music. This move raised eyebrows because Trump was furious when the Grammy-winning singer was selected to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Bad Bunny and Donald Trump’s Feud
The clash between President Donald Trump and Bad Bunny has been building due to political differences between them and immigration enforcement. This issue reached its peak when the NFL announced that Bad Bunny would be headlining the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Trump voiced his outrage during an interview on Newsmax‘s Greg Kelly Reports. Host Greg Kelly questioned the NFL’s decision during the interview. “The NFL just chose the Bad Bunny rabbit or whatever his name is … This guy, who hates ICE, he doesn’t like you, he accuses everything he doesn’t like of racism.”
Kelly went on to ask if fans should boycott the NFL entirely, adding, “This guy does not seem like a unifying entertainer and a lot of folks don’t even know who he is.”
Despite Bad Bunny being one of the most-streamed musicians, Trump claimed that he had no idea about him. “I don’t know who he is, I don’t know why they’re doing it, it’s like, crazy.” He continued his harsh attack, saying, “Then they blame it on some promoter that they hired to pick up entertainment. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous.”
The fallout between the two extended to White House briefings as well, per The Mirror US. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the singer’s past anti-ICE comments during a press conference. Leavitt questioned Bad Bunny and other celebrities who criticize immigration officers.

The video of ICE posted by the White House quickly went viral on TikTok. Reacting to the video, many users expressed their disbelief over the choice of music.
Calling out the hypocrisy, one user wrote, “So let me get this straight: Trump publicly mocked Bad Bunny over the Super Bowl… and now a Trump video is using Bad Bunny’s music? That’s a level of irony you just can’t script.”
Another user questioned, “Is he using his opponents songs?”
