NWA Owner Billy Corgan Getting Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

A familiar name will soon receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Last week, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the latest round of Hollywood Walk of Fame honorees, which includes names from television, motion picture, radio, recording, theatre/live performance and sports entertainment. Within the recording category, wrestling fans may recognize Smashing Pumpkins, an alternative rock band led by NWA owner Billy Corgan.

“The Walk of Fame Selection Committee is proud to welcome the Class of 2027 to one of the most enduring symbols of achievement in entertainment,” said Walk of Fame Selection Chairman Peter Roth. “These 32 extraordinary individuals have each made a lasting impact on audiences around the world through their talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft. We are honored to recognize their remarkable contributions and look forward to celebrating them as they take their place in Hollywood history.”

The Smashing Pumpkins initially formed in 1988, with their latest tour still ongoing. This weekend, the band will perform at Lollapalooza Chicago 2026.

In addition to serving as the lead vocalist and guitarist for Smashing Pumpkins, Corgan continues to run the National Wrestling Alliance, which held its NWA 78 event last weekend. WWE star Nattie notably faced NWA Women’s Tag Team Champions Kenzie and Kylie Paige in a triple threat there.

An announcement will reveal the date of The Smashing Pumpkins’ star ceremony. They join the likes of David Guetta, The Ramones, Sia, Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, and others as the latest recording artist honorees.
