The model recalled the interaction during a fireside chat celebrating the latest drop in her collection with JCPenney

Ashley Graham is sharing set secrets from The Devil Wears Prada 2.
On March 28, the model, 38, participated in a fireside chat with creator Leslie Rodriguez at a JCPenney store in Brooklyn, N.Y. In addition to celebrating the latest drop in her collection with the retailer, Graham opened up about her role in the highly anticipated sequel.
"I just want to make it very clear. I have zero lines," she told Rodriguez. "However, I am in The Devil Wears Prada number two."
Graham went on to share "the best thing" that happened on set with star Meryl Streep, who reprises her role as cutthroat magazine editor Miranda Priestly.
"We were shooting a red carpet [scene] ... I was doing what I do on the red carpet," the model recalled. "I was wearing this gorgeous Christian Siriano dress. It was fabulous."
Graham said that after the director yelled "cut," Streep, 76, made her way over to her.

"She starts walking towards me and I'm like, 'Okay.' Not uncomfortable visually, but mentally I'm like, 'What am I going to say to her?'" she said. "She comes over and she goes, 'Darling, you have impeccable, impeccable posture.' And then walked away. I was like, 'Oh, this is Miranda. She's in character. This is wonderful.'"

"It made my night," Graham added. "Not only was I in The Devil Wears Prada, but also Meryl Streep and the compliment. So it was really fun. I can't wait to see the movie."
Streep and costar Anne Hathaway are already bringing fierce fashion looks to The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour.
At the movie's premiere in Mexico City on Monday, March 30, Streep wore a navy blue belted coat by Schiaparelli adorned with gold engraved buttons along the front. The outfit was paired with gold-embellished drop earrings and a structured black and gold Schiaparelli tote.

Hathaway, who portrays journalist Andrea Sachs, opted for head-to-toe Stella McCartney, wearing a pink sequined mini dress with a flared skirt and dark brown chunky thigh-high boots from the label’s Fall 2026 collection. She accessorized with silver bracelets and wore bright red lipstick.

The duo have reunited for The Devil Wears Prada 2 alongside fellow stars of the 2006 original, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.
The film will reportedly follow Priestly “as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces off against Blunt’s character, now a high-powered executive for a luxury group with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.”
